FULL-TIME MEDIA SPECIALIST

Principle Function –To provide support to the Media Team. The Media Specialist will be responsible for assisting with video production, including acquiring video footage, editing for broadcast programming and in house newscast as well as other special projects. 

Qualifications for the Position: This person must have completed high school and have an Associate’s Degree or at least 2 years college or technical training, and have at least 2 years of experience in broadcasting, video production, video editing and audio engineering. Must be able to operate equipment used for video recording. Must be familiar with multimedia technologies, standard concepts, practices and procedures within the video and audio fields. This person must also be creative, collaborate, multitask, quickly adapt, and troubleshoot.

Requirements of the Position:

1.Assistant Producer/Director of the Television Ministry

  • Assist with weekly taping of broadcast programming.
  • Responsible for editing, post-production and distribution of weekly broadcasts to local broadcasters.

2.Material Production

  • Process all online and in house store orders in a timely fashion.
  • Acquire, catalog, and maintain film, video, and audio material.
  • Customer service, communication, social media, and client relations skills.

3.Producer for WSMC News

  • Record, edit and produce weekly newscast for Sunday services.
  • Prepare sets, operate and maintain audio/video equipment, adjust lighting, and edit finished product.
  • Ensure releasing of campaigns are timely and remain effective for the extended duration.

4.Keep YouTube Channel up to date and accurate

5.Responsible to archiving weekly sermons and programs

6.Proficient using Apple and Adobe Products

7.Ability to handle various projects at once

8.Strong leadership skills

9.Perform other duties as assigned.

PART-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Principle Function – The Administrative Assistant is responsible for functions that include data entry, coordination of large mail-outs, and drafting various correspondence. The Administrative Assistant will serve in an administrative pool managed by the Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor and will be responsible for assisting with the receptionist function and other duties as needed. 

Qualifications for the Position: High School Diploma plus least two or more years of administrative experience. Must have excellent communication, writing, organizational and administrative skills. This person must also possess basic computer skills and be proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher and PowerPoint. Must be a self-motivator with a cheerful personality and possess a personal demeanor to interact vendors, membership, and public in a professional manner. This person must have the ability to present information and respond to volunteers etc.
